Stake Turns Nine With a $1 Million Drake Giveaway on Kick

Stake capped its ninth birthday on Aug. 8 with a stream hosted by Drake on Kick, built around a giveaway pool topping $1 million and a $50,000 prize handed to one viewer live.

The stream is the clearest look yet at how much Stake still leans on its most famous ambassador.

Drake has fronted Stake broadcasts since March 2022, his December 2025 run averaged 24,500 to 31,900 concurrent viewers, and his all-time Kick peak stands at 202,000, according to coverage of the event.

Stake's birthday announcement alone drew more than 2.2 million views on X.

Drake Hands One Viewer $50,000 Live

The broadcast aired at 9 p.m. ET on Aug. 8 on Drake's official Kick channel, which counts half a million followers.

Stake's X account live-posted the session: an early win it put at $575,000, a $1.2 million hit on the slot Mushroom Madness and a cameo from streamer Trainwreck, who Stake says tipped $1 million to Drake mid-stream.

Those figures come from Stake's own posts, and viral bet-slip highlights never show the losses around them.

The $50,000 prize went to a viewer posting as KOBAYANYAN, drawn from users who dropped their Stake usernames under a post that pulled more than 21,000 likes.

A Week of Promos Surrounds the Party

The Drake broadcast anchored a longer birthday run. StakeEddie, one of the casino's house streamers, warmed up the celebration with a giveaway stream on his own Kick channel at 12:30 p.m. GMT on Aug. 8, hours before the main event.

The rest of the program ran through the week: a birthday promotion at the Stake poker tables from Aug. 7, the casino's Monthly bonus dropped to player inboxes the same day, and a design contest dating from Aug. 3 offering $1,000 for the best player-made Monthly poster.

Stake's announcement described the stream as one of its largest viewer-focused activations to date, part of a year-long anniversary program. Days before the party, the casino also turned Kick watch time into on-site rewards through account linking, tying the streaming platform closer to the casino.

The celebration has not closed out. On Aug. 10, Stake teased another unspecified "present" for players, so more birthday promotions are the next thing to watch.

Nine Years Takes Stake From Crypto Casino to Esports Producer

Stake also published a ninth-birthday recap of its year. Launched in 2017 as a crypto casino and sportsbook, the platform says the past 12 months brought five new Stake Originals (Packs, Chicken, Tarot, Moles and Drill), new ambassadors including Eden Hazard, Iker Casillas and Kun Aguero, and a first skateboarding push through an X Games partnership.

The bigger shift is in esports. Stake says it went "from sponsoring Esports to actively producing it," building its own arenas and launching the Stake Ranked CS2 and Stake Pulse tournament series, with LAN finals held in Barcelona and a Stockholm event running through the birthday week.
