Housebets has started releasing its own casino games, telling players on Oct. 7 that its Housebets Originals had been going live on the site one by one.

The crypto casino's announcement showed eight games: Dice, seven-hand Blackjack, Mines, Limbo, Roulette, Keno, Coinflip and Plinko. Founder Porchy wrote soon after that the team is working on releasing "at least 2 or 3 a week."

Originals are the simple games a casino builds for itself, so the casino writes the code that decides every result. FairGambling checked the new games. They are provably fair, so players can check each result. Their return to player, the share of stakes paid back over time, runs from 97.3% on Roulette to 99.43% on Blackjack.

Founder Calls the Games a First Version

Porchy said the games are "brand new" and were pushed out for Wave 2, "so lots of room for improvement."

Wave 2 is the second round of the casino's on-chain bonus, the promotion behind its $25 million giveaway. Housebets closed the first round on July 23 and said the next one would land in August "with major improvements."

That first round came with slower withdrawals, which Housebets blamed on demand during the rollout.

Wave 2 then missed its August date. On Aug. 26, Housebets moved Wave 2 to September, saying it had taken time to study the first round and improve the mechanics instead of rushing. The second round finally went live on Oct. 3, letting players scan up to five wallets for a bonus of up to $25,000.

Housebets' Sloth Mascot Gets Its Own Game

Housebets added a ninth Original late on Oct. 7. Hubie's Road stars Hubie, the casino's sloth mascot, whom players steer lane by lane past sharks.

Hubie posts on X from an account Housebets opened in September. FairGambling checked Hubie's Road too: it has a 99% return to player, so the house keeps $1 of every $100 wagered over time. That matches what the mascot's account said on X. Porchy offered $10,000 to the first player to win $100,000 on it.

Players May Get to Build Games

The founder's longer-term plan is to let players "make your own" games. The post did not provide a date or any details on how that would work.

Stake already runs that model at scale. Independent developers have published more than 3,600 games on Stake through its game platform, now called Engine, keeping 10% of the revenue.
