Housebets Delays Withdrawals as Hot Wallets Show $228k

Housebets told players withdrawals were still processing after its $25 million giveaway launch, while FairGambling's on-chain tracking shows a $228k balance across its monitored hot wallets.

Housebets Delays Withdrawals as Hot Wallets Show $228k

Housebets told players on July 22 that withdrawals were still processing but running slower than usual, blaming "high rate limits" during the rollout of its $25 million giveaway.

The Curacao-licensed casino said player funds are safe. On-chain data tracked by FairGambling shows Housebets' balance across monitored hot wallets fluctuating considerably—suggesting it is actively reloading funds to accommodate withdrawals.

Housebets' own update framed the delays as a scaling problem caused by demand. It followed a run of posts warning of slow gameplay, forced logouts and stretched processing times as the site expanded capacity, alongside a claim that $200,000 had been given out overnight to players depositing just $1.

Public Concerns

Prominent gambling accounts including Dr. W and YogiGambles have flagged payout problems publicly in recent weeks.

Against that, FairGambling is aware of withdrawals in the $15,000 to $25,000 range being paid during the same period. The picture is mixed rather than uniformly bad, and without a figure from Housebets on how many requests are outstanding, neither the complaints nor the successful payouts tell you the size of the problem.

Housebets, launched in 2024, operates under Bridge Technologies B.V. and requires no KYC or ID verification at any stage.

Hot Wallets Hold $228k

Hot wallet balances are not a solvency statement. Operators move funds to cold storage, and a thin balance can be routine treasury management. But it is one of the few things a player can often check without asking permission.

Though Housebets doesn't publish proof of reserves and has no publicly announced hot wallet address, our scanners find that its known hot wallets held a ~$228k balance at the time of publication, largely concentrated in USDT and USDC on Ethereum.

What This Means for Players

Withdrawal delays during a promotional surge are common and usually resolve. The risk here is concentration.

  • A no-KYC site running a $25 million giveaway pulls in new depositors fast, and if processing stops, there is no license regime with real teeth behind Curacao, no identity file to appeal with, and no reserve disclosure to argue from.
  • Housebets has not published a timeline for clearing the backlog or a figure for how many withdrawals are affected.
  • If you have a balance sitting on the platform, request it now rather than waiting for the giveaway to run its course, and keep your transaction IDs and support tickets.
It's better to be safe than sorry.
