Editorial Policy
How we report on the crypto gambling industry — our standards, independence, sourcing, writers and responsible-gambling stance.
About FairGambling News
FairGambling News covers the crypto gambling industry: operator news, regulation and enforcement, licensing, investigations, and the stories the rest of the industry would rather not run.
We are part of FairGambling.com, an independent crypto casino transparency platform. Alongside our reporting, we publish real-time on-chain analytics, trust ratings and provably fair verification tools for every major crypto casino.
What makes our reporting different
We cover the crypto gambling industry the way any news desk does: regulation, enforcement, licensing, operator announcements, the things that affect players. Where we differ is what we can bring to a story. FairGambling tracks deposits, withdrawals and wallet activity on-chain, so when the numbers matter we can check what operators claim rather than simply repeat it.
That data also drives our own investigations and research, which is where you will find things you won't read anywhere else.
We report facts, not opinions dressed as facts. Where a story has a primary source — a regulator's ruling, a court filing, an official statement, an on-chain transaction — we link to it. Most of this industry doesn't. We think you should be able to check our work.
Independence
We never accept payment, sponsorship or affiliate deals that influence our coverage or our Trust Rankings. Operators cannot buy a better rating, a softer review, or the removal of a story.
Our only commercial relationship with casinos is the Wager Share Program, which lets players claim back a share of their own wagers. It is entirely separate from our editorial and rankings, and we say so wherever it is relevant.
Our writers
Most of our articles carry the name of the writer who produced them, along with their background and expertise. Some shorter news items run under the FairGambling News desk byline, where the piece is the work of the newsroom rather than a single named writer. Either way, every article is reviewed by an editor before it goes live, and the editorial desk stands behind everything we publish.
Corrections & updates
We correct errors quickly and visibly. When we fix a factual mistake, the article carries an "Updated" date next to its publication date, and material corrections are noted in the text itself rather than silently rewritten. Minor fixes — typos, formatting, link rot — are made without a note.
If you believe we've published something inaccurate, let the editorial desk know — corrections requests go straight to the editors and are reviewed against the primary sources.
Responsible gambling
We cover gambling; we don't promote it. We will never present gambling as a way to make money or encourage anyone to wager more than they intend to. FairGambling is for users aged 18+ (or the legal age in your jurisdiction). Support is available at BeGambleAware.org, GamCare.org.uk and GamblingTherapy.org.
Got a story?
We rely on tip-offs. If you've seen something we should be covering — a rigged game, a withheld withdrawal, an operator behaving badly — tell us. Reports go straight to the editorial desk, and we protect our sources. You can also tell us about your own experience with a casino. Our reader reviews sit alongside our data and our reporting, and they feed into how we rate operators.
