MonkeyTilt stopped all casino and sports betting on Oct. 13 and will shut its site for good on Nov. 9, 2026, according to its closure notice.

The crypto casino raised more than $50 million in announced funding rounds from backers including Pantera Capital and PokerGO. Its founder said in May it had raised over $80 million.

The notice does not say why the company is closing or how much of that money is left. The company has not yet announced the closure via social media.

Players Must Withdraw Through Tilt Rips

Deposits, sign-ups and bonuses are switched off, and MonkeyTilt says its license is being surrendered. The site's footer names the operator as Kong Quest, licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission.

Accounts stay open, and bonus balances will be turned into cash. Withdrawals now run through Tilt Rips, founder Sam Kiki's Pokémon card pack site, using the same MonkeyTilt login.

The company says payouts typically take 24 to 48 hours and that it added no holds because of the closure. Accounts that are not fully verified must send identity documents first.

Funding Questions Go Unanswered

Pantera Capital led a $30 million round in November 2024, after a $21 million seed round, according to multiple reports. Kiki told Fortune at the time that a large share would go to paid advertising and marketing.

In May 2026, MonkeyTilt signed a deal with iBankroll that moved the cost of paying big winners onto the partner. Kiki said the company had raised "over $80 million" and that the deal would free that capital for growth.

No public record explains the gap between the roughly $51 million in announced rounds and Kiki's figure. Five months after the deal, the casino stopped taking bets.

On a related note, MonkeyTilt founder Sam “Señor Tilt” Kiki has recorded roughly $2.9 million in net losses across tracked high-stakes livestreamed cash games (primarily Hustler Casino Live and Super High Roller streams) since December 2024, according to Highroll Poker data covering ~45 episodes and over 200 hours.

Kiki launched Tilt Rips in May 2026. Buyers open digital packs backed by real trading cards, a model Coinbase is also moving into as New York tests whether paid random prizes count as gambling.

The closure notice does not give a reason beyond "We have decided to close MonkeyTilt." After the site goes offline on Nov. 9, players can still email support to recover balances.
