Pennsylvania Gaming Tops $7B as iGaming Beats Physical Slots The First Time

Pennsylvania's regulated gaming produced a record $7.01 billion in the 2025/26 fiscal year, the first time the state has passed the $7 billion mark. The bigger story sits right inside that total: iGaming brought in $2.93 billion, out-earning land-based casino slot machines for the first time in a full fiscal year.

Figures from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board show iGaming revenue rose 18.42% to $2,93 billion, while slot machine revenue at casinos stayed flat at $2.44 billion, up just 0.02%. Sports wagering climbed 36% to $662.9 million. Total taxes and fees hit a record $3.1 billion.

iGaming Now Out-Earns Pennsylvania's Slot Floors

For years, physical slot machines were the backbone of Pennsylvania gaming revenue. That era is closing. Online casino play now generates roughly $490 million more per year than the machines on casino floors, a structural shift every state weighing iGaming expansion will point to.

Pennsylvania's market has grown 116% since the 2017/18 fiscal year, when casino and fantasy revenue totaled $3.2 billion. State officials are pairing the milestone with a warning, urging stronger responsible gambling protections as online play scales.
